ABOUT
Judith Laughing Owl created a series of Native American oil paintings. Her Native American themed oil paintings are being offered as a limited edition of fine art prints known as giclee's ("gee-clays") and also an unlimited edition of digital prints.
Giclees of her Native American inspired oil paintings are meticulously reproduced on 100% Hahnemuhle WT310 archival watercolor paper imported from Germany and printed with 100% archival inks and are in a limited first-run edition of ten. (See Galleries.)
Judith was inspired by Native Americans she personally knows or has met on the PowWow trail, and by her involvement with ANA, the Association of Native Americans of the Mid-Hudson Region, NY.
Offered at a lesser price than the giclee's are digital prints of her original oil paintings. These are not on archival paper, nor are archival inks used, but properly framed and cared for, may last the lifetime of the owner, or longer. Inquiries are welcomed.
Other works by Judith include Hudson Valley landscapes, Cape Cod seascapes, still life, portraits, and a series of Grief paintings in oils and watercolors which are numbered instead of being titled as she wants the viewer to see what they see and not be influenced by titles.
Judith is proud to keep Native American traditions, songs, and language alive. She is the Keeper of the Red Feather Owl Women’s Drum and leads a Native American drumming and singing group. She has performed at PowWows and other venues. She is a long-standing member of ANA, the Association of Native Americans Mid-Hudson Region, an Intertribal Group who teach, sing and drum throughout the Hudson Valley and at other locations by special invitation. Judith also teaches art and accepts commissions for paintings.
